Local & Insured
Remington is an incorporated town of about 630 people in Fauquier County, Virginia, 11.8 road miles and 19 minutes north of Culpeper, on the far bank of the Rappahannock where US-15, US-29, US-17 and Route 28 meet. It was once Rappahannock Station on the Orange and Alexandria Railroad and a port on the Rappahannock Canal, and two Civil War battles took the station's name.
The historic district joined the National Register in 2005. The whole town covers two-tenths of a square mile, so streets are close and shade trees are big: oaks, red maples and poplars over roofs and power drops, sycamores by the river. Remington keeps its own code, so a street tree means a call to the town office.

Why a Culpeper Crew Comes to Remington
Remington is the first town north of the river on US-29 and we cross the bridge most days. Danielle books estimates here within a few days, and the Fauquier line costs you nothing.
A town of two-tenths of a square mile has a roof, a fence and a service drop under every big tree. We climb, rig and lower every piece; nothing is felled whole inside the town.
Sycamores and red maples along the Rappahannock lean toward the water and root in soft silt. We take them down from the dry side and never drop toward the river.
Remington writes its own ordinances, separate from Culpeper's. A tree wholly on your lot is your call; for a tree over a town street or in the historic district we suggest a quick call to the town office first.
We found no home-lot tree permit, but Remington keeps its own town code. A tree over a town street or sidewalk means a call to the town office first, and street, sidewalk and burning rules much like Culpeper's are typical. More in our permits guide.
If a tulip poplar over your Remington roof is dropping limbs or a riverbank sycamore has started to lean, call or ask for a free estimate. Storm damage gets an answer the same day or the next; routine work is usually booked within a week or two.
